New Zealand distributor Exeed has been authorised as a Microsoft Full Packaged Product (FPP) Distributor, adding to the company’s role as an existing Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Distributor.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with Microsoft as an FPP distributor, with an initial focus of bringing Microsoft FPP products to our unique reseller relationships,” says Justin Tye, Managing Director, Exeed.

“Our longer term goal is to add significant value and IP to the electronic distribution of this software, particularly focusing on retail channels.”

Tye says Exeed’s reach to the New Zealand reseller channel and its agency portfolio proved attractive to Microsoft as an additional attach opportunity to the partners already representing the FPP business.

Exeed has been developing its capability in the area of market place software aggregation, electronic license distribution and in particular how these technologies can be deployed in the retail business.

For Tye, the advantages of speed to market, reduced floor inventory cost and simplified point of sale attach are huge to all parties involved in the transaction.

“We are committed to enabling all New Zealanders to have access to the value that Microsoft Office 2016 and Microsoft Office 365 provides consumers and commercial customers,” adds David Rayner, Director of Consumer Channels, Microsoft New Zealand.

“This announcement brings fresh opportunities to reach new partners and new people and I am extremely excited by the possibilities of working with the great team at Exeed.”

Going forward, Tye says Exeed will also offer traditional FPP product and attach programmes alongside its market leading hardware brands in the normal course of business.
