Avnet has announced the launch of the Avnet CenturyLink Cloud Reseller Program, which will see Avnet as the first in-market distributor for CenturyLink Cloud services in Austral ia.

The Avnet CenturyLink Cloud program combines CenturyLink Cloud services with Avnet’s reseller onboarding process, as well as access to technical resources, account provisioning support and monthly reporting.

In addition, the program provides local partners with the ability to utilise the Avnet Cloud Toolset (ACT), which provides multi-tier billing, dashboard drill downs, customisable reports with built-in processes that allow streamlined account provisioning, account association and overall usage management across customer accounts.

As reported by ARN, the distribution agreement follows the launch of CenturyLink’s Australia Cloud node, which enables businesses based or operating in Australia to utilise CenturyLink as a single provider for public and private cloud infrastructure, managed services, colocation, network connectivity and support for advanced hybrid solutions.

The Sydney cloud node joins other available CenturyLink Cloud locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and Singapore.

“It is an exciting time for Avnet as we work with with CenturyLink to provide a truly scalable cloud alternative for Australian businesses,” said Chris Farrow, business manager, Cloud services, Avnet Technology Solutions, Australia and New Zealand.

“This agreement with CenturyLink is a game-changer for the Australian small and mid-size business (SMB) market, allowing SMBs to not only become more effective against their direct competitors, but also to help ‘level the playing field’ with big businesses.”

Farrow said the CenturyLink Cloud platform combined with Avnet’s deep partner relationships will enable businesses in Australia to better access cloud services and gain customisation ability.

“We are excited about our distribution agreement with Avnet in Asia Pacific, which enables resellers, white-label partners and managed service providers to simply and quickly deploy CenturyLink Cloud for their enterprise customers in any of our CenturyLink Cloud locations around the globe, including our new Sydney cloud node,” adds Stuart Mills, regional director, CenturyLink, A/NZ.

“This is particularly important for those service providers supporting typical back-office applications that require an enterprise-grade cloud with simple onboarding and migrations from in-house private clouds to public Cloud.

“Segregated billing, management of client accounts and a range of business reports are available through a single interface, all backed by in-country support and 24/7 Cloud support from Avnet and CenturyLink.”
