Ari Palandjian - Regional Sales Manager of Cloud Client Computing, Dell
Dell has appointed former Avnet Business Unit manager, Ari Palandjian, to the role of Regional Sales manager for the vendor’s Cloud Client Computing business across New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Having managed multiple vendors including EMC, Lenovo and Datacore, the channel veteran departs distribution to head up Dell’s end-to-end desktop virtualisation solutions business, which covers Dell Wyse, VDI appliances and reference architecture.
Having joined Avnet in May 2015, Palandjian previously held roles at Dicker Data, Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as well as early career stints at Acer, Epson and Compaq Computers.
“Ari is a great asset to have back on the Dell team,” Dell general manager of Cloud Client Computing, Jai Sahney, told ARN.
“He has a strong historical knowledge of our customer base and partners and will be instrumental in the growth of our Cloud Client Computing business through the channel across NSW, QLD and the NT.”
Palandjian has nearly 20 years of experience in the local market, with his new role also covering Dell’s platform and device management portfolio, which includes support and service solutions.
“Dell is the only vendor who can deliver end-to-end solutions from the data centre to the end-point, wrapped together by Dell’s ProSupport offerings, including the virtualisation layer,” Palandjian added.
“I will be working closely with our partners including Ingram, Dicker Data and Avnet to ensure the best results for their businesses and that our customers have access to the best possible solutions and expertise.”
Since Palandjian’s departure, Avnet has announced three internal promotions to its local executive team, as the distributor deepens its specialist support for the Australian channel.
Following a company restructure, Adrian Chu, Winston Wong and Paul Oxley have taken on director roles covering Customer Solutions, Next-Generation and Data Centre Solutions respectively.
