Telstra, Katana 1 and Intalock nab top honours at NetApp partner awards

Diversus Group, Comstor and ASE IT also take home gongs.

NetApp has honoured its top performing partners for Australia and New Zealand, with Telstra, Katana 1 and Intalock taking home the top awards.

The storage vendor said winners were selected based on ability to deliver innovative cloud services, excellence in service delivery and enabling customers to realise cost efficiencies through best practice, increased turnover and improved productivity.

During the event in Sydney, NetApp also recognised individual excellence in partner organisations through several individual awards, including the inaugural Hall of Fame award.

Intalock took home the New Partner of the Year award for first half revenue growth and work to support NetApp by introducing new growth segments in specialist verticals.

Telstra was named Service Provider of the Year for the telco’s data Fabric-as-a-Service offering and on-demand and modular capabilities.

The vendor also awarded partners in different tiers of its channel program, with Katana 1 taking out the Platinum Reseller of the Year for its revenue growth, flash portfolio growth and success in analytics and big data solutions.

Meanwhile, Diversus Group won the top prize in the gold partner category for revenue achievements, new business wins and support for NetApp’s sales teams through cooperation and teamwork.

In addition, Comstor won the Converged Infrastructure Excellence award for its achievements of developing a one source single stock keeping unit (SKU) for FlexPod.

Telstra was also awarded the prize for marketing excellence for its adoption of joint go to market (GTM) program and a marketing campaign resulting in a strong pipeline and revenue.

ASE IT was honored in the Outstanding Cloud Initiative category, selected for building a self-funded Storage GRID as-a-Service solution alongside a NetApp private storage solution next to Amazon Web Services (AWS) providing choice models for object stores in a pure cloud model.

NetApp also awarded individual achievements from its partner community with the Technical Excellence award going to Filip Zahrahdnik from Virtual Machine Technology.

Zahrahdnik was recognised for his experience in proposing and designing NetApp solutions as well as his commitment to his work on flash based FAS opportunities, Altavault and NPS solutions.

Data#3’s Sarah Edwards took out the Sales Excellence award for her commitment and support with NetApp’s sales team and customers and driving new opportunities to work on and win major solution sales in Australia

Glen Hastings from Equinix was named Alliance Partner Champion for his contribution to NetApp’s Channel Masters series and efforts driving business and opportunities from the Executive Briefings Program.

Also, Shane Ferris from Arrow was inducted into NetApp’s Hall of Fame for his “dedication to stay at the top of his technical craft” and the provision of round the clock service to NetApp’s partners.
