Managed services company, Continuum, has revealed its plans to increase play in the Asia-Pacific market, with the appointment of a new managing director for the region. Frank Bauer has been named Asia-Pacific managing director.
Bauer, who was part of Continuum’s founding team, will help to lead the company’s regional expansion and commitment. He relocates to Sydney from the US, where he was the senior channel development manager for Continuum.
Reporting directly to the company’s chief revenue officer, Robert Kocis, he is also rolling out Continuum’s regional strategy to expand its business across the diverse region.
Bauer has 18 years of IT channel experience, and the company said it will be instrumental in its Asia-Pacific success, especially in leading the strategic initiative to build a strong regional foundation.
Bauer said he will work in close cooperation with regional managed service providers (MSPs), IT service providers (ITSPs), and office equipment dealers (OEs), to achieve their business goals.
“I am thrilled to be part of Continuum’s next chapter in global growth and development,” he said. “Our expansion into the Asia-Pacific market with a new office and team solidifies our commitment to success in the region.
He added that service excellence is a principal focus for him and his new Asia-Pacific team. With a direct presence in the region, he said he will help partners to meet their service level commitment and better support their regional operations.
As part of the greater Asia-Pacific expansion plan, the company has also opened new headquarters in Sydney. With the addition of the new regional Asia-Pacific headquarters, Continuum now operates from six offices, including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas in the US, as well as England and India.
Kocis said the new office underscores its partner growth in the A/NZ markets over the past two years.
He also said the investment will help Continuum to directly support partners as they expand across the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on high service levels and building on demand for the company’s products and services.
“The investment highlights the increasing importance of the Asia-Pacific market to Continuum, driven by robust demand for our offerings in A/NZ,” Kocis said. “While it reinforces our commitment to our regional partners, the new office also represents our first step in expanding our footprint in this high growth and competitive market.”
