IT provider, NTT Communications ICT Solutions, has inked a partnership deal with Nimble Storage in Australia, making the latter the company’s storage solution partner, in a move that is set to allow it to provide the local market with an end-to-end storage solution.
NTT Communications ICT Solutions’ new storage services will be based on Nimble Storage’s All Flash Systems for utility, cloud and managed services customers, utilising Nimble’s Predictive Cloud Platform.
The move follows NTT Communications ICT Solutions’ recent deal with Amazon Web Services and NEXTDC to establish AWS Direct Connect services for customers through Melbourne’s NEXTDC data centre facility.
It also follows news from August last year, when Sydney-based managed service provider, The Missing Link, chose Nimble Storage technology to enhance and expand its Cloud platform.
According to NTT Communications ICT Solutions national sales director, Julie Barbieri, the partnership with Nimble Storage enhances its storage portfolio and helps its customers protect their IT investments by eliminating forklift upgrades and sustains health of storage infrastructure.
Barbieri also said that having Nimble Storage as a partner gives NTT Communications ICT Solutions an enhanced storage portfolio and product offering through the Nimble Multicloud Flash Fabric, which deploys storage resources to meet the growing demands of business-critical applications.
“We are delighted to have chosen Nimble Storage as our cloud storage provider. We are focused on continuing to provide the products and services to meet our customer’s needs and Nimble allows us to do that.
“The partnership provides clients with the ability to scale storage performance and capacity plus offers a flexible, building-block approach to achieving Cloud scale,” she said.
Barbieri mentioned the recent acquisition of Nimble Storage by technology giant, HPE, was a key factor in NTT Communications ICT Solutions’ choice of the company over other vendors.
“The acquisition by HPE solidifies the offering and brings further flexibility around our storage solutions.
“Nimble is incredibly easy to work with and are very focused around the channel, so it made business and technology sense. The use of predictive analytics in their solutions also gave them an advantage over other vendors,” she added.
