ARN unveils new start-up category, opens award nominations

Changing face of the channel prompts new partner categories

Nominations are now open for the 2017 ARN ICT Industry Awards, with the unveiling of a new start-up category highlighting the expanding channel in Australia.

Entering its 11th year, the awards - set for 14 September at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney - will applaud vendors, distributors and reseller partners for their success in the previous 12 months, while also acknowledging outstanding individuals and their achievements.

In recognition of the changing ecosystem within the channel, 2017 will see the launch of a new Start-up category, acknowledging the emerging businesses disrupting the status quo across the market.

Specifically, the new-look category will honour expertise across four awards - Start-up Specialist; Start-up Customer Win; Start-up Entrepreneur and Technology Start-Up.

Partner change continues further with the introduction of the global systems integrator award, recognising the leading players impacting the Australian ICT industry, through innovative technology solutions, key customers wins and local market growth.

From a distribution perspective, Australian excellence is also acknowledged within the Homegrown Innovators category, honouring standout local distributors, alongside service providers and ISVs.

In total, over 30 awards make up this year’s honours list, with the channel recognised across Vendor, Distributor and Partner categories, alongside Start-up, Homegrown Innovators, Cloud and Community, in addition to Personal Innovation, Channel Choice and Hall of Fame.

Nominations close on Friday 30 June, with selection criteria provided with each award to facilitate submissions.

Companies and individuals can self-nominate across eight categories, with an esteemed judging panel of over 100 industry figures basing scores on the quality of submission, identifying the strengths and progress of the company or individual over the past 12 months.

To nominate, visit the 2017 ARN ICT Industry Awards nominations page and click on the specific award link which will direct you to the online questions.

Each category has four to six questions as part of the award criteria - please make sure you specifically answer the criteria, but also limit your responses to the 200 maximum word count set per question.

We strongly recommend companies only self-nominate to ensure the best chance of success with our experienced judging panel and please note that we only accept one nomination submission per individual or company for every award. Nominations across multiple awards and categories are allowed.

Also, make sure you enter your name, company name and email address as part of the nomination.

Please note that voting for the online-only, people’s Channel Choice awards will open shortly.
