Parallels Australia and New Zealand country manager, Kevin Greely, has been appointed as the cross-platform software solutions company’s new general manager for Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Greely will be responsible for spearheading customer and partner engagement, and driving strategic business development across key Asia Pacific markets, including A/NZ, the greater China region, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to deepen our relationship with our partners and customers in Asia Pacific amidst widespread digital transformation across all industries,” Greely said.
“The region is home to an exciting blend of mature and emerging markets, each with its unique set of IT challenges.
“I look forward to serving more partners and customers and breaking new grounds with our market leading virtualisation and remote application delivery solutions,” he said.
The move comes roughly six years after Greely joined Parallels as channel manager for Australia and New Zealand.
The company announced Greely's appointment as local channel lead in 2011, saying at the time that he would be charged with expanding its retail channel and strengthening the brand in the local market.
Prior to Parallels, Greely was a marketing director in distribution, focused on software and consumer electronics markets.
Greely’s appointment to the Asia Pacific role comes just over a year after the company appointed Jerry Huang as vice president and general manager of Asia-Pacific.
Based in Singapore, Huang took on the responsibility of growing the strong APAC demand for the company’s flagship solutions, Parallels Desktop for Mac and Parallels Remote Application Server.
