Evolve IT leverages Parallels in not-for-profit cloud play

Evolve IT Australia has recently deployed its CloudPC hybrid cloud solution for not-for-profit organisation, Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO).

Specifically, the organisation engaged the Melbourne-based technology provider to tap into the potential of digital transformation, providing staff and members with secure, reliable access to mission-critical data and applications.

Leveraging Parallels technology - coupled with a decade-long partnership - Evolve IT helped standardise the technology environments of VACCHO, following a review of available upgrade options.

Consequently, the business recommended a package of managed services anchored by Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS), a virtual application and desktop delivery solution.

"Whilst probably still one of the smaller players in the mid-market space, our successes come from our client engagement being more personalised and our growth year on year is testament to this," Evolve IT CEO Nick Moran told ARN.

"One of the huge successes we have had over the past 12 months has been with our CloudPC hybrid cloud offering.

"This product offering has allowed many not for profit, charity, community and health organisations be able to not only standardise their work environment, but also cater for business growth in a secure, flexible way."

Moran said the solution solved mobility issues for people within VACCHO, as they spent hours commuting between locations.

"There were some remote sites, it’s not uncommon for Australian non-profit organisations to be held back by ageing or cumbersome technology," he explained. "So the solution enabled communication for the end user experience."

In addition, Moran said the solution has enabled the organisation to grow in a cost effective and secure way.

"The digital transformation has been a great success, enabling VACCHO’s employees and members to work far more efficiently by accessing the data and apps they need, wherever they go, on any device they choose,” he added.

According to Moran, plans are in place for the business to further utilise its partnership with Parallels, in a bid to target the not-for-profit, charity, community and healthcare verticals across Australia.

"This year alone, 37 per cent growth in our managed hybrid cloud services business ensured that the overall percentage of recurring services revenue increased significantly; an important factor in our long-term success and now over 60 per cent of our overall revenues," Moran said.

Now part of the new Parallels Partner Program, Moran said Evolve IT can also leverage a “one-stop-shop” approach, using features such as Partner Business Plans, Partner pipeline management and a two-way partner communication platform in its services.

"This has opened the door well beyond the NGO vertical that we were strong in," Moran added. "We need to keep reinventing to offer new solutions to clients.

"CloudPC has allowed just that and we will be making smarter decisions in the coming months to help us with our expansion plans."

From a business perspective, Evolve IT will soon be opening two more offices – one in regional Victoria and the other in Sydney.

"We look forward to sustained growth over time, and this has been a result of many of our partnerships, such as the one we’ve got with Parallels,” Moran added.
