Simble Solutions strikes Synnex distribution deal in IoT play

The new agreement sees Synnex Australia bolster its IoT presence in the local maket

Sydney-based independent software vendor (ISV) Simble Solutions (ASX:SIS) has struck a distribution agreement with Synnex Australia that sees the energy technology-focused firm tap into the distributor’s network of more than 6,000 partners around the country.

Publicly-listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, London, Auckland and further afield, Simble Solutions makes energy management and mobility solutions for enterprises.

The company’s Simble Energy Platform, or ‘SimbleSense’, is an integrated hardware and real-time software solution designed to let businesses visualise, control and monetise their energy systems.

Simble Solutions’ software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, meanwhile, has Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities and is designed to give enterprises and consumers alike the ability to remotely automate energy savings opportunities to reduce energy expenses.

The new agreement will see Synnex distribute the company’s IoT-enabled control and visualisation tool, Simble Energy Platform, in the local market.

For Simble, the partnership represents an opportunity to rapidly scale its business through a big ticket distributor.

“This agreement is a game changer and concludes our transition from an R&D [research and development]-focused early stage technology company to a sales-focused SaaS business. Simble CEO Fadi Geha said.

“We are delighted to be chosen to supply our products through Synnex’s multi-billion-dollar network alongside globally respected technology brands like HP, Intel, Samsung or Microsoft,” he said.

For Synnex Australia CEO Kee Ong, the deal sees the distributor further deepen its proverbial toe into the IoT space.

“The Internet of Things is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and 50 billion connected devices are set to hit the market by 2020,” Ong said.

“Simble’s IoT energy management platform is a value-added solution that will allow us to bring the Internet of Things to our partners.”
