ASX-listed Kogan.com is entering the New Zealand mobile market after inking a partnership agreement with Vodafone.

Plan details of the offering to consumers will be released closer to the launch date, Kogan said in a stock exchange announcement.

“In Australia, Kogan Mobile has been delivering on its promise to save Aussies more of their hard-earned money, and hundreds of thousands of customers have already migrated to Kogan Mobile in Australia over the past two years," said David Shafer, executive director of Kogan.com.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Vodafone New Zealand, the largest mobile network operator in New Zealand, to bring Kogan Mobile to New Zealand customers."

Vodafone consumer director Matt Williams said the company was partnering with Kogan.com to deliver "greater competition" in the Kiwi market.

“Kogan Mobile has been an enormous hit with consumers in Australia, and Vodafone New Zealand is excited to be partnering with Kogan.com to deliver more choice to mobile customers in the New Zealand market,” he said.

Kogan.com, which reported A$210 million in revenue for the six months to December 31, operates a portfolio of businesses and in 2016 acquired the online business of failed retail chain Dick Smith.

The partnership comes six weeks after Kogan became Australia's latest National Broadband Network (NBN) reseller with the company's NBN service plans going live, following the launch of its Kogan Internet brand and the expansion of its partnership with Vodafone in Australia.

As reported by ARN, there are three NBN plan options on the table involving Bronze, Silver and Gold, providing unlimited data, under a pay-as-you go access on a month-to-month basis.

The Bronze plan starts at $58.90 per month plus an upfront modem cost of $69; Silver $68.90 per month and Gold $88.90 per month. Each bundle is marked with a disclaimer saying 'speeds may vary'. The service is supplied to Kogan through its existing partnership with Vodafone.

As a special launch offer, eligible customers can sign up to the Kogan NBN Silver tier for $58.90 per month for the first 24 months, if they sign up before 30 June this year.
