Australian cyber security specialists Seccom Global has signed a managed security services provider (MSSP) deal with endpoint security vendor SentinelOne.

The deal, made possible through both vendor and partner relationships with Exclusive Networks, will see the Sydney-based MSSP focus on extending SentinelOne’s footprint in the Australian market.

Both parties will also leverage existing partnerships with Fortinet to drive future local growth, with Seccom operating at platinum status with the security vendor.

"We had prior familiarity with SentinelOne through our mutual work with Fortinet and went through extensive market research to determine the best EPP and EDR solution for our customers prior to establishing the working relationship," said Michael Demery, managing director at Seccom Global.

"Aside from efficacy and visibility, what drew us to SentinelOne was the platform’s multi-tenancy functionality and the ability to create per site policies, where each site has a unique customer association."

Another key area for Seccom was the API support the vendor offers which enables "limitless integration capability", according to Demery.

"The ability to go down to granular deployment need is extremely valuable," he added.

"In addition, the visibility provided by SentinelOne allows our 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre to provide true monitoring, detection and response services for our clients."

Meanwhile, SentinelOne said the deal would enable companies to manage security with "ease and scale" while allowing MSSPs, such as Seccom, the opportunity to build their business on the vendor's platform.

“We were extremely fortunate to be introduced to Seccom through our distribution partner, Exclusive Networks, as Seccom is a natural MSSP fit in the Australian market with their proven expertise and existing relationships with valued partners of our own," said Gareth Green, VP sales EMEA and APAC at SentinelOne.
