Craig Thompson, Wavelink
Australian distributor Wavelink has named Craig Thompson as its first-ever channel marketing manager.
Based at the company's Melbourne head office, Thompson will be tasked with developing Wavelink’s reseller strategy across training, sales and enablement in an effort to boost commercial success on both sides.
According to Wavelink, which works with vendors such as Fortinet, Spectralink, Spok, Olinqua, CenTrak and Digium, Thompson’s appointment will allow the distributor to facilitate its marketing investments for the reseller network.
“Craig’s experience working with a global IT company to develop, execute and maintain an effective channel strategy for more than 120 partners worldwide gives him significant strength in being able to position Wavelink for channel growth,” the distributor's MD Ilan Rubin said.
Thompson previously spent three years as partner channel manager for logistics software provider WiseTech Global, a role he left in September last year according to his LinkedIn profile.
Before then, he held account manager roles at Avanser and Inabox Group, the latter of which he joined in 2010.
“I look forward to working closely with the Wavelink team and our reseller network to build out the partner program,” Thompson added. “There is a definite requirement in the marketplace for a strategic marketing plan to be executed across our reseller network to we continue to align with our resellers.”
