Menlo Security has appointed Westcon-Comstor as a distributor in Singapore, Philippines and Australia, as part of plans to drive growth through the channel.

The agreement spans the vendor’s remote browser isolation platform, created in response to an increase of malware attacks both locally and globally.

“We know that when information falls into the wrong hands, it’s more than just a data risk - reputations are at stake, and this is why companies are looking for solutions to reduce phishing attacks, credential theft and data loss by providing safe, scalable internet access to employees,” said Patrick Aronson, executive vice president of Asia Pacific at Westcon-Comstor.

“Our long heritage of collaborating with leading enterprise security vendors like Menlo Security is what has allowed Westcon to become the world’s leading global cyber security distributor.

“Menlo Security’s Isolation Platform is the ideal complement to our best-in-class security solution portfolio.”

Specifically, the offering executes web content, email links and documents in the cloud, removing the need for additional software at the endpoint.

“For the past two years, Menlo has doubled our business in the region, especially in Australia, Singapore and Philippines,” added Stephanie Boo, managing director of Asia Pacific at Menlo Security. “We are thrilled to partner with Westcon, and have been impressed with their professionalism and technical capability.”

Boo said Menlo is “on the brink of disrupting the security market” in Asia, partnering with Westcon to help the vendor achieve greater “reach” across the regional channel.

“Together we will make a very positive impact to our customers and channel partners,” Boo said. “This is a great time to take our brand to the next level, and an excellent partnership to make it happen.”
