The Western Australia Government has given $30,000 to five local start-ups to help fund them to present their ideas at London Tech Week.
The local government expects this will help to grow their businesses to create WA jobs and attract global investors to the State.
The start-ups selected include financial technology and cyber security software company BankVault, its solutions secures online activity from banking to Facebook via an invisible keyboard.
Exodus Space Systems, a start-up company focused on solving the growing problem of space debris, has also been selected as well as Power Ledger, an energy trading start-up that uses blockchain technology as a platform to allow sale and purchase of renewable energy.
"There is an exciting opportunity to leverage investment in WA start-ups by promoting our innovators on a global stage," science and innovation and ICT minister Dave Kelly said.
"Supporting start-up businesses will help grow Western Australia's jobs and diversify the State's economy."
Peer-to-peer fashion lending marketplace The Volte and JUGGLR, a digital platform that connects professional mothers with flexible work in their local area, were also selected.
"Our London Trade Office will be assisting these five companies to make connections that we hope will see more investment in Western Australia's talented start-up sector," Kelly said.
