Victoria-headquartered distributor Alloys has signed an agreement to sell Actiontec’s ScreenBeam portfolio in Australia.

The deal will see Alloys sell Actiontec's wireless display solution to its partners, with Australian enterprise and education markets being the primary targets.

Alloys will distribute from a number of warehouses across Australia, while providing showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.

The distributor will also offer in-house training, technical, sales and marketing support for small-and-medium-sized resellers.

“We are thrilled about this new partnership with Actiontec,” said Paul Harman, CEO of Alloys. "Their innovative solutions and strong desire to partner with the Australian reseller channel make them a perfect addition to our constantly growing Visual Solutions offering. As we are increasingly consuming and more content on multiple devices, ScreenBeam technology streamlines this vital collaboration requirement.”

Headquartered in the US, Actiontec’s ScreenBeam is Microsoft’s co-engineering partner for wireless display, having worked with the vendor to develop wireless display capabilities in Windows 10 and 8.1.

The product series provides app-free wireless screen-sharing experience on all major operating system platforms covering meeting spaces or classrooms.

In addition to Alloys, Actiontec also works with the distributor Ingram Micro in Australia.

“We see Alloys as an ideal distribution partner to further grow the ScreenBeam brand together and expand our presence in Australia through their established reseller channel in markets such as enterprise, education and in industries including automation, security and IP telephony,” said Johnny Lin, senior director of sales for Actiontec Asia Pacific.

“Alloys brings extensive value-added offerings to their reseller channel and prides itself on being an innovative and non-traditional distributor.”

The deal with Actiontec comes six months after Alloys signed an agreement with American unified communications (UC) vendor Grandstream.
