ShadowLens' Roman Kreychman
A new Melbourne-based cyber security services and solutions provider ShadowLens has opened for business.
The company is the brainchild of Roman Kreychman, who has spent years working at distributors including Westcon Comstor, Ingram Micro and Avnet Technology Solutions, now known as Tech Data.
He also spent some time at Sophos and was most recently the enterprise territory account manager at Forcepoint before starting up his own venture.
“Coming from a vendor background and being involved in the technical and sales areas of security for many years, it was clear most organisations purchased solutions and weren’t effectively leveraging the power of these products," Kreychman explained. "This could be in terms of resourcing, skill sets or setting up appropriate frameworks."
The company features a mix of full time staff who specialise in cyber security, compliance and policy, data analytics and data protection. It also employs project-focused staff who work full time on customer sites.
“We are always on the lookout for talent that fits our core business objectives and are as passionate as we are about data protection,” Kreychman said.
So far, the company’s customer base stretches across healthcare and health insurance sectors; retail; online gambling and automotive industries.
“Given our expertise, we can use our skills set in any industry that has a requirement to be compliant against global data breaches, data retention laws and has a specific need to protect its most valuable information and company reputation.”
Kreychman said it was focused on building relationships with vendors that align to its core strategy in data security and analytics, pointing out vendors such as Forcepoint, Netskope, Alienvault, Exabeam and Tableau as an ideal fit.
He added that during the next 12 months, he hopes to make ShadowLens a "well-established" data security provider across the country.
“We have a vast history of knowledge in our chosen field and like to think we add real value to an organisation in maturing their data security posture and provide long lasting strategic relationships,” he said.
“We ensure that clients not only get their security requirements met and are supported by cyber security specialists but also aim to educate operations teams and management of what is happening on the inside and outside of their environment from a data-centric perspective.”
