Malwarebytes has appointed Vikas Uberoy to the role of regional director for Australia and New Zealand, replacing Jim Cook.
As part of this newly expanded role, Uberoy will be responsible for all sales activities as well as leading the A/NZ channel.
Uberoy joined Malwarebytes in October 2016 taking the role of channel director for Australia and New Zealand.
He joined from Sophos where he worked for almost four years working first as the A/NZ partner manager and later as business manager for small and medium businesses.
Uberoy has also worked for Trend Micro, Avnet Technology Solutions and Compaq among other companies.
"Jim Cook has decided to pursue other interests outside of the company and we wish him well," a spokesperson for Malwarebytes told ARN. "In the interim Vikas will oversee the general management of the Malwarebytes office in Sydney while the company identifies another leader for the A/NZ operations."
Malwarebytes told ARN it is currently looking for a general manager for the region.
