Hitachi Vantara has acknowledged the award winning efforts of its top channel partners in Australia and New Zealand at the Hitachi Vantara Advantage 2019 Partner Summit on 21 August.

Awards were determined based on growth, innovation, evolution and collaboration.

New Zealand-based Revera was awarded growth partner of the year for its “impressive” growth in the New Zealand market, according to Marc Fiala, senior partner business manager and channel lead for A/NZ at Hitachi Vantara.

Headquartered in Sydney, NTT Communications won the innovation partner of the year award for the development and enrichment of a data storage environment to an archiving platform with Hitachi Vantara solutions for a national government agency, Fiala explained.

“This enables the agency with the simplified yet powerful search capabilities of metadata and classification for future analysis,” he added.

Datacom was recognised as evolution partner of the year for the IT service provider’s transition from reselling Hitachi Vantara’s solutions to adapting them into a digital platform.

Managed services provider Perfekt won two awards, the collaboration partner of the year award and consultant and technical solution architect Kobus Almon was awarded the Hitachi Hero award.

The collaboration partner of the year award was won by the provider for what Fiala described as “best practice for a channel partner for Hitachi Vantara”, as Perfekt incorporated Hitachi Vantara in decisions at multiple levels of the business, including reselling products and collaborating on software, managed services and cloud practices.

Meanwhile, Almon’s technical experience with Hitachi Vantara won him the Hitachi Hero award.

“Perfekt’s Kobus Almon demonstrates skills and acumen to enhance and grow sales with the team whilst providing consultancy through technical know-how that supports and grows his own business by integrating the Hitachi Vantara portfolio. That includes enabling co-creation with end customers as well,” Fiala said.
