NextDC has been named an Amazon Web Services (AWS) service delivery partner for AWS Direct Connect, enabling them to offer bandwidth on AWS Direct Connect services of up to 10Gbps.
To reach service delivery partner status, NextDC had to demonstrate high levels of technical proficiency and customer success involving AWS Direct Connect services.
David Dzienciol, chief customer officer and executive vice president of technology at NextDC, said achieving service delivery partner status was “an exciting opportunity” for the data centre provider.
“This achievement directly reflects the hard work we have invested in building our AXON customer connectivity platform, and the team’s dedication to deliver superior AWS connectivity services to our partners and customers," said Dzienciol.

NextDC’s AXON platform allows for high-performance virtual connections to public cloud platforms, including AWS, while also supporting network and geographically redundant designs and offering on-demand inter-capital connectivity services.
NextDC has focused on improving its connections in the last month with the data centre provider partnering with internet service provider Hurricane Electric in mid-September to improve its S1 Sydney data centre, offering access to an IPv6 network and a 100 gigabit ethernet port.
NextDC joins a long list of partners in Sydney including AT&T, CenturyLink, Equinix, Global Switch, Nextgen Group and TPG to name a few.
