Wanted: Systems integrators for developer

Internet software developer Agillion has announced a multi-tiered distribution strategy and is looking for systems integrators to take its products to the Australian small-to-medium enterprise (SME) market.

After opening its first office outside the US in Australia, Agillion has signed up six local resellers and is seeking to increase its channel tenfold.

Agillion's core product, CustomerPages, offers personalised Web pages that allow a company to keep a two-way interaction with customers on the Internet. Each customer is assigned a user name and password for a personalised site where they can be kept up to date with accounts, company information and the like.

Agillion Australia general manager Tom Beecroft said the company is looking for two kinds of channel partners. Firstly, there are certified consultants who approach small-to-medium enterprises and customise the Agillion software, which is hosted off-site to have a seamless look and feel with the business' exiting site.

Agillion is now moving to start the installation of its software in larger companies, and needs systems integrator partners to approach customers with the Agillion software, install it on-site at the organisation's server, and integrate it with the business' legacy systems.

"Today we have six integrators, we're looking for 60," said Beecroft. "We're after the right partners though, there's no point in having every man and his dog selling and servicing it, but someone who can provide good service to our customers."
