Australian Institute of Company Directors go UpBeat

Professional Advantage provides management solutions to more than 27,000 members

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and technology and services provider, Professional Advantage, have collaborated in implementing UpBeat – a Microsoft CRM-based membership management software solution.

One of the primary uses for the software is to aid the AICD in managing the various requirements of its membership base.

It will enable the organisation to document and administer all activities relating to its 27,000-plus members across three key areas of concern: membership management, internal collaboration and events and professional development.

For members, UpBeat offers online interactions via a 24-hour Web self-service feature and further professional membership-specific capabilities including better AICD website interactivity.

AICD CIO, Fabio Bastian, said, “The benefit is that we get to cooperate very closely and influence the development of the product, ensuring it meets our current and future needs.”

The solution is expected to be up and running by the third calendar quarter of 2011.

“The partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors is helping us to align our foundation membership product with the more specific needs of professional and business associations,” Managing Director of Professional Advantage, Derek Rippingale, said.
