Security and storage products vendor, Barracuda Networks, has appointed Mike Romans to lead its sales, channel, and management operations as Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) country manager.

Romans said he will work closely with the company’s sales teams and partners to strengthen its local channel strategy, and as a result, enhance business processes.

He joins Barracuda after seven years working for Chinese-based furniture manufacturer, Furniture Origins. His first six years at the company were spent in the UK as country manager, before moving to the US as business development vice-president.

Romans’ IT industry experience spans more than a decade. He commenced his career at Parametric Technology Corporation, where he spent five years in sales executive and engineering roles across the US, South Korea and Australia.

Following this stint, he was employed by Autodesk A/NZ, and worked as manufacturing channel sales manager with responsibility for managing a channel of ten value-added resellers (VARs).
