Mwave revenues increase 16 per cent since launch of mobile site

Sydney based IT reseller, Mwave, has moved to exploit the emerging trend of online sales made on mobile devices.

Mwave has become one of the first IT resellers to launch a mobile site in Australia.

According to a recent Progressive Policy Institute report, the number of Australians using the internet via their mobile phone rose 33 per cent from June 2012 to May 2013.

Further, mobile broadband was found to have boosted Australia's economic activity in 2013 by an estimated $34 billion.

In the US in 2011, purchases mobile devices amounted to $6.7 billion.

By 2015, US mobile sales are forcasted to reach $31 billion.

The global trend clearly indicates that mobile shopping will be an integral part of society.

Mwave is preparing for the next wave of growth by using technology to connect with a larger audience.

Since the launch of their mobile site in April, they have experienced a boost of 16 per cent in sales from the mobile site and a total revenue growth of 36 per cent in the second quarter of this year compared to previous corresponding period, according to a company statement.
