ManageEngine launches Office 365 bulk license management solutions

Adds exchange reporter and mailbox reporting module

ManageEngine has released a trio of new products to support large deployments of Microsoft’s Office 365.

The IT management company, has added an Office 365 bulk license manager to its Active Directory management software, ADManager Plus, and an Exchange Online reporting module to its Microsoft Exchange server reporting solution, ExchangeReporter Plus.

The new feature in ADManager allows administrators to manage Office 365 licenses of multiple users at once. The ExchangeReporter Plus solution is said to provide administrators a better understanding of how Office 365 resources are being utilised.

ManageEngine claims the Office 365 management portal fails administrators on several fronts.

According to a company statement, the portal can't manage more than 20 user licenses at a time. It can't import users from a CSV file and bulk-edit their licenses. It doesn't collect and report information necessary to optimise Office 365 resource management in a Windows Azure Active Directory environment.

ManageEngine director of product management, Manikandan Thangaraj, said that after the company added Office 365 provisioning and reporting capabilities, customers began asking for a bulk license management utility that would offer flexibility in managing Office 365 licenses.

"So we not only added that utility in ADManager Plus, we also upgraded ExchangeReporter Plus to report on Office 365 mailboxes. This way, administrators need not struggle with PowerShell to get mailbox statistics that ease license management.”

ADManager Plus pricing starts at $US 495, ExchangeReporter Plus pricing starts at $US 295. ManageEngine is offering free 30 day trial versions of both products on its website.
