Australian online retail store, Kogan.com, has entered into a direct partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer. As per the agreement, all Australian shoppers on Kogan.com’s site will be able to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points when they shop online.

Specifically, this joint partnership will provide Kogan.com’s local online shoppers one Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every dollar they spend on a purchase. As per the usual, these Qantas points can then be redeemed for flights, upgrades, or other products and services such as hotels, wine, and travel insurance.

Kogan.com founder and CEO, Ruslan Kogan, said the partnership was inked as it was seeking new ways to reward its online shoppers.

“It’s a pleasure to partner with Qantas Frequent Flyer. Millions of Australians enjoy the benefits of the most extensive loyalty program in the country and Kogan is excited to be a part of that,” he said.

Qantas Loyalty CEO, Lesley Grant, claimed that the Qantas Frequent Flyer program had evolved considerably in recent years and now includes new opportunities to earn points for activities besides flying.

"We know our members like the convenience of online shopping so we’re delighted to partner with Kogan.com to give members more when shopping online. Now, people can earn Qantas points as part of their normal day-to-day activities,” Grant added.
