Former Telstra director to lead Dimension Data's South Australian business

New leader formerly held the role of Testra state director for South Australia and Northern Territory for more than 15 years

Dimension Data has appointed former Telstra director, Michael Luchich, to lead the company's South Australian business.

Luchich formerly held the role of Testra state director for South Australia and Northern Territory for more than 15 years.

In this position he led all aspects of Telstra’s government and enterprise business activities.

He also held the role of South Australian Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) chairman until July last year.

Luchich was recently named as one of three members leading a review into the South Australia's taxi and chauffeured vehicle industries.

Dimension Data Australia director of business – business unit strategy and client experience, Pete Murray, said Luchich was pivotal in driving business and demand across the corporate, enterprise and public sector markets in South Australia.

“Michael’s experience in South Australia’s IT sector speaks for itself," he said.

"He is highly respected and has been a key figure in the industry for more than 20 years.

“His commitment to ensuring his clients’ business performs beyond expectations has seen him lead a number of peak industry bodies.

"This focus on client experience made him the ideal candidate to lead Dimension Data in South Australia.”

Luchich has also served as chairman of the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation for more than a decade and chairs the Carnegie Mellon University Australia Advisory Board.
