Audinate gears up for a big 2016

Opens Hong Kong office and hires Ben Wong

NICTA spin off, Audinate is gearing up for a big 2016 after opening an office in Hong Kong and appointing Ben Wong as its APAC director of sales.

Audinate’s media networking technology, Dante, replaces bundles of audio cables with a single network cable that can be controlled through software.

Growth in the AV industry has driven Audinate to establish a Hong Kong office to provide technical sales, business development and customer support.

There are more than 500 Dante enabled products available from manufacturers including Yamaha, Bose and Shure.

“The 500th Dante-enabled product represents a significant milestone for Audinate and our Dante OEM partners,” Audinate CEO, Lee Ellison, said.

“Customer research tell us that the single biggest factor when selecting an audio networking solution, is the number of available products on the market. With hundreds of products launched in the past 12 months, Dante has reached the tipping point and has become the industry standard for Audio over IP networking.”

Audinate became the first company to successfully spin out from NICTA and has secured investment from Starfish Ventures and Innovation Capital. The company has offices in Sydney, Portland, London and now Hong Kong.
