Hands out gongs at 2016 Asia Channel Summit in China

Three of Emerson Network Power’s Australian channel partners were recognised with awards at the company’s recently-held 2016 Asia Channel Summit.

Held recently in Chengdu, China, the Asia Channel Summit gathered Emerson Network Power’s key partners, distributors and executives from across the region to discuss the latest technologies and trends in the market.

The gala dinner held on the last night of the summit recognised the company’s best performing channel partners in Asia-Pacific.

Australian customers took out three awards: Orion Computers was named DPG Distributor of the year Asia; NPS nabbed the Best Enterprise Business Development in Asia-Pacific gong; while Comsol took home the Avocent Distributor of the year in Asia-Pacific award.

Emerson Network Power A/NZ channel director, Mo Kandeel, said its channel is vital to the success of the company.

“We are committed to supporting and empowering our partners with the latest technologies and solutions. The awards scooped up by our Australian channel distributors and partners are testament to their success in servicing the requirements of their customers,” he said.

NPS regional sales manager said the award is a testament to its business partnership with Emerson.

“Being presented with the award for Outstanding Business Development Enterprise for the Asia Pacific region is a testament to the strength of our business partnership with Emerson, especially in the enterprise side of the business. The partnership continues to grow year on year, yielding profitable wins for both Emerson and NPS.”

The channel summit also saw insightful discussions on the latest trends in the market, including edge computing and converged technologies. Channel partners also had the opportunity to visit Emerson’s factory in Chengdu for a sneak peek on the latest solutions currently in development.

“The highlight of the trip for me was seeing the high level of quality control and testing that takes place at the factory, prior to the units being shipped to Australia,” Orion Computers director of sales, Ross Palmer, said.

Meanwhile, Comsol director, Darren Bourke, was interested in Emerson’s full suite of converged solutions on display at the Solutions Gallery.

“It was nice to physically see products like the SmartCabinet, power and cooling products on display, and to get an idea of where technology is heading and how it fits into our customers’ needs for either an off the shelf or fully customised solution,” he added.
