Sony and Alloys have strengthened their existing partnership with the signing of a distributor deal for video security solutions.

As per the agreement, Alloys will be offering its resellers Sony’s video security solutions in addition to the range it currently distributes.

Sony Security Solutions Australia and New Zealand sales and marketing manager, Steve Charles, said both companies joined forces in the video security solutions space to further align and strengthen ongoing partnerships, while extending into projection and display panels.

“The partnership is a natural extension as Alloys fits perfectly with the company’s distribution strategy," he said.

"It is committed to source products that provide the best market solutions."

According to Charles, the partnership was inked as Sony was looking to increase channel partners outside of its traditional markets and saw Alloys’ non-traditional approach as the perfect fit for moving forward.

“With Alloys as our distributor, we increase our presence into the IT and project space," he added.

"We believe Alloys experience and values will allow customers to receive the best support and access to Sony products."

Alloys CEO, Paul Harman, said the company is delighted with the new partnership, suggesting that Sony possess a wide range of product offering which strengthens Alloys position in surveillance distribution.

“Alloys have a great working relationship with Sony, it was only natural that we would widen the Sony product categories Alloys can offer their partners," he added.

"Sony is a strong Tier 1 brand supplier and with such a vast range of cameras and VMS options Alloys is now a one stop shop for IP Surveillance."
