Qlik unveils new MSP partner offering

As it announces enhancements to existing partner program

Data analytics vendor Qlik has unveiled what it claims is the first-ever dedicated business intelligence (BI) market managed service provider (MSP) partner offering.

Qlik’s MSP offering is aimed at giving partners the opportunity to generate monthly recurring revenue.

In order to join the new arm of the program, partners need to show how they plan to incorporate Qlik into their services, join the Qlik Partner Program (QPP) and complete the managed services track addendum, while also completing basic competency modules across the commercial, technical, marketing and support areas.

The vendor has also announced updates to its QPP in an effort to make it easier for partners to engage with the vendor.

The program is a three-tier program framework – Elite, Select and Authorised. The vendor said the changes will mean clearer business benefits and requirements per tier.

Partners now have the ability to access tier based benefits, and are rewarded for identifying and helping close new Qlik opportunities via deal registration.

The changes include a new partner-led approach in broader commercial segment and aligned resell incentives to cover that segment. A subscription licensing combined with volume-based pricing to support the buying behaviors in purchasing subscription licensing.

The vendor also promises simplified revenue requirements, with these being tracked against partner’s total book of business, recognising the partner’s total contribution to Qlik’s success with clearer discount structures.

Another enhancement is lower deal registration and sales performance discounts thresholds which will help partners maximise earning potential by driving the elements of the sales cycle.

Partners will also benefit from the Net New Logo Deal Incentives which will allow partners to receive an additional incentive if they bring a brand new customer.

“Data fuels company growth and opportunity, and it’s crucial that customers can rely on their trusted partners to deliver analytics innovations that will help drive that growth,” Qlik senior vice president, partners and alliances, Chris Moore, said.

“With our one of its kind MSP offering and the enhancements to our overall partner program, Qlik continues to make it easier than ever for partners of all sizes to bring advanced capabilities to their customers to help them win in the analytics economy.”
