StorageCraft seeks channel support to launch new healthcare solution

Data management vendor StorageCraft has launched a new platform targeted at the health sector in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ)

The US-headquartered vendor, which has a 100 per cent channel model, has launched the OneXafe solution, a converged primary and secondary data platform with integrated back-up protection.  

Targeted primarily at the healthcare sector, end-users being hospitals and insurers, the product is now available to be taken to market by StorageCraft’s 3,000-strong Australian partner community.

“We’re still looking for the right type of customer,” StorageCraft head of Asia Pacific sales Marina Brook told ARN. “We have had success [with the technology] with St Kilda’s Football Club previously, where it’s large files that need to be protected but also need access. It ultimately depends on what the customer is trying to achieve.”

“OneXafe is open to all partners regardless of their industry focus or the skills they have,” she added. “The majority of partners we have are managed service providers (MSPs) and and small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs). However, we are looking at more big-sized partners that can cater for large customers and environments.”

StorageCraft currently works with Dicker Data and ACA Pacific as its distributors in Australia and operates in a local NextDC data centre .

It also operates on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, but said partners aligned with Microsoft Azure would be able to use their own accounts to deploy OneXafe.

“If healthcare practitioners can’t get patient information when they need it, the quality of care could be severely compromised,” Shridar Subramanian, vice president of product management and marketing at StorageCraft said. “That means data management and protection is an absolute must.
