Thycotic has launched its partner professional services certification program in Australia and New Zealand with Canberra-based partner A23 becoming the first to obtain accreditation.

The new certification is designed to qualify partners to provide technical support and professional services to customers using the cyber security vendor’s privileged access management (PAM) products.

IT consultant and Microsoft Silver partner A23 is the first of 90 registered channel partners to receive the certification in A/NZ, although its distributor EMT was also certified back in 2017.

The offering will now be available to all Thycotic partners in the A/NZ channel.

According to Thycotic, the certification is achieved following “rigorous” testing and verification, with the vendor providing hours of training.

Once certified, partners will be able to include value-added services to PAM deployments, such as aiding service account discovery and dependencies; implementing password rotation, high availability and session monitoring; and implementing least privilege policies and application control.

“Many of our clients are placing greater emphasis on protecting their assets from well resourced and motivated actors,” A23 managing director, Simon Metcalfe said.

“Privileged access management has become a key foundational capability for our clients to improve and mature their security posture and operations. Some of our clients have highly complex technical environments, operational requirements and embedded practices," he said.

“They seek the guiding hand and support of a certified professional services partner to provide added value to achieve higher levels of maturity and operational readiness.”

The announcement coincides with the appointment of Effie Giannikopoulos as senior project manager and professional service coordinator, who will be tasked with ensuring partners have access to sufficient resources.

The latest announcement follows the launch of its secret server cloud service in Australia allowing the channel to handle highly sensitive data without sending it offshore.

The service will offer privileged access management (PAM) whereby data is hosted on the Australian Microsoft Azure cloud within the Canberra Data Centres (CDC).
