    Here's something you won't find on Apple TV: Porn. Vivid Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based purveyor of adult entertainment, has unveiled Vivid for Google TV, an app that streams sexually explicit content to Google TV set-top devices.

  • HTC takes top spot in US smartphone market

    <a href=";tk=srch_top">HTC</a> has taken the lead in the U.S. smartphone race. According to research firm <a href="">Canalys</a>, HTC had a stellar third quarter, claiming more than a quarter of the U.S. market, and shipping more smartphones than either <a href=";tk=srch_self">Apple</a> or <a href=";tk=srch_self">Samsung</a>.

A new survey from Pew Research Center's Internet &amp; American Life Project says a slight majority of Americans -- 53 percent, to be exact -- prefer a voice call to a text message. But 31 percent of cellphone users would rather get a text.
