In 2018, most workplaces move fast. As a result, professional users need powerful, secure, well-balanced notebooks and laptops that offer both speed and flexibility.
Welcome to Fujitsu’s fantastic new 2018 LIFEBOOK range.
Driven by the latest low-power, high-performance 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, the line-up of enterprise and professional-grade PCs is underpinned by four key pillars.
8th Gen Intel Processors
Intel’s 8th Gen Core™ processors only became available in late 2017 and Fujitsu has wasted no time incorporating them into the entire range of LIFEBOOK PCs. It’s not difficult to see why.
According to Intel, the new processors offer an increase of up to 40 per cent in performance compared with their 7th-gen counterparts. Users – whether business or personal – are going to love that.
And there is no trade-off on battery life. For instance, Fujitsu’s U748 with its anti-glare display is a workhorse capable of running 10 hours shifts before needing a top up!
Lightweight designs across the range
Of course, portability is vital in the modern world where a PC can find itself at work virtually anywhere, whether it be in the office, a plane, on a seat in a park or the lap in the bus. The bottom line is keep it light, flexible and connected.
The LIFEBOOK PCs pass that test with ease. For example, the U938 weighs in at just 748g, making it one of the lightest professional notebooks on the market. And the E448, E458, E548 and E558 LIFEBOOKS all feature a desirable 23.9mm ultra-thin form-factor.
Best in class connectivity
While Fujitsu’s LIFEBOOK series has mobility covered it’s just as vital the new PCs offer the complete range of connectivity options. To that end, Fujitsu has equipped its latest laptops and notebooks with full size interfaces for HDMI, USB types A and C, audio combo, SD and a SmartCard reader. Perfect!
All models also have an optional 4G/LTE module and most models also offer a full-size Ethernet jack concealed inside the body of the unit allowing users even greater connectivity and mobility.
Top-line security features
Finally, and most importantly, the new LIFEBOOKs are very secure. They feature Fujitsu’s PalmSecure advanced biometric authentication system which uses the owner’s unique palm vein patterns to confirm their identity, and help prevent unauthorised access to data.
But that’s not all! The E558, U748 and flagship U938 also allow users to alternatively specify a fingerprint reader for access control and provide added security through the integrated SmartCard reader and inclusion of a TPM 2.0 module for hardware-based authentication.
