At long last, the Galaxy S 4 The Samsung Galaxy S 4 finally burst upon the scene Thursday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York, introduced to us by a series of tongue-in-cheek theatrical sketches backed by fanfares from a live pit orchestra.

The screen First things first – the 4.99-inch, full 1080p Super AMOLED screen is more or less what was predicted, but it still looks pretty gorgeous.

Smart pause/scroll Another rumor that was pretty much right on – you can tilt the phone slightly to scroll content up and down, and pause videos by looking away, thanks to the device's IR sensor.

Thin construction The Galaxy S 4 weighs in at 130 grams – slightly lighter than the Galaxy S III – and is roughly the same size. It's available in black and white, and is apparently made from a new type of plastic.

Dual cameras You can use the front and rear cameras at the same time, letting the picture-taker into the frame.

More cameras The Galaxy S IV packs a 13MP main camera and a 2MP front shooter, along with a host of camera software upgrades, like letting users add audio content to pictures, remove inconvenient passers-by from the background and create heavily customized albums.

Under the hood Samsung says the Galaxy S 4 uses its recently released 1.6GHz Exynos 5 Octa 8-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, and either 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of storage built in. It's also LTE-equipped and will work with the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard.
