Distribution Central partners and resellers have come together for a partner event to discuss <i>Tomorrow's Cloud and infrastructure customer</i> in Sydney. Distribution Central managing director, Nick Verykios, revealed the company's view on the infrastructure and Cloud market, while Telsyte analyst, Rodney Gedda, presented the results of a recent market study. It also included a techology panel with representatives from CommVault, Fujitsu, NetApp, Seagate (EVault), SanDisk (Fusion-io) and SimpliVity.

The Roundtable discussed the rapidly emerging SDN market, the hype, the different models and eco-systems on offer, where the market is going to go in 2014 and beyond, and the overall implications for resellers and their partners. Fujitsu Forum Tokyo, the company's largest annual event, was held May 16-17 2013 at the Tokyo International Forum in Japan. 12,000 IT decision-makers and experts from around the world attended the event. Fujitsu Forum 2013 – Reshaping ICT, Rehaping Business, Society - featured seminars and exhibitions demonstrating Fujitsu‘s latest products, services and technologies. This includes the company's initiatives to build safe, secure and sustainable cities; its approach to leveraging ICT to give customers a competitive edge, as well as the Cloud and Big Data analysis technologies that make this possible.

IN PICTURES: The ultimate Fujitsu road-trip
Travelling from Bundaberg to Cairns, Fujitsu, in conjunction with its distributor in Queensland, MMT, clocked about 2300 kilometres visiting regional resellers, finding out their likes and dislikes in a bid to foster and build a strong vendor/reseller relationship. Fujitsu Products Group, channel development manager, Daniel Campbell, said the company wants to reach out to resellers across the country - and did so one kilometer at a time via a camper van. MMT solutions sales specialist, Adam MacLennan, who tirelessly drove the microbus up the coast, found out from regional resellers and country players what they're doing and what they want from their vendor and distributor partners.
