Splunk Live! 2015 recently hosted its event in Sydney, where not only Splunk and its partners took to stage to talk about the latest trends in technology, but also showcased their latest technologies. Some of the vendors seen included Palo Alto, Amazon Web Services, Netapp, Nimble Storage, and dynatrace. It was a full house, as this pictorial shows.

Amazon Web Services' (AWS) Summit took place at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries. Amazon.com vice-president and CTO, Werner Vogels, opened the event with insight into the company and its place in the global market, and moved to speak on reasons customers move to Cloud. The Summit also features a showroom with displays from partners.

The Sydney leg of VMware's vForum took place on October 21 and 22 at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre. It hosted an array of vendors and solutions specialists which both demonstrated their products' capabilities, and guided attendees through real-life applications.

IN PICTURES: Security players host security education collaboration

IT security companies, FireEye, Splunk, and Imperva, hosted roadshows in Melbourne and Sydney to present partners with practical examples and strategies to observe, detect, and ultimately prevent sophisticated advanced threats and data theft. The key speakers were FireEye A/NZ sales engineering manager, Rich Costanzo; Imperva APJ strategic accounts director, Kane Lightowler; Splunk DNA engineering and professional services manager, Jeremy Horton.
