    Westcon New Zealand and Data#3 took top honours at Symantec's 2014 Pacific Partner Awards in Sydney, winning the Distributor of the Year and Symantec Partner of the Year categories, respectively. The firms were selected judged on overall performance in revenue growth, achievement of Symantec specialisation, joint marketing activities, program adoption, technical expertise and customer service excellence. Other winners included Ethan Group, Insight, Intalock, Insentra, and Datacom NZ.

    Insight invited its software partners to escape the office for North Ryde Golf Course last week. Partners including Gold Sponsors, Symantec, Microsoft, Nuance, RSA and VMware took to the course for an 18-hole Ambrose with a shotgun start. Following golf, Insight held a charity auction during lunch. All proceeds went to The Sydney’s Children’s Hospital, the nominated charity for 2014.
