Blue Coat hires new country manager

Mitroo has restructured staff hiring a new distribution and a marketing manager

Security vendor, Blue Coat, has hired Rajeev Mitroo as its new country manager.

Mitroo said his first priority was to internally provide some structure and process within the company and its channel strategy.

He replaces Wayne Neich.

“Blue Coat Australia has done well to grow to where it is, but moving forward we need some structure, process and discipline,” Mitroo said.

He has restructured the Blue Coat team internally to include a marketing manager and hired Renata Nelipa. She previously worked with Citrix.

Anthony Farr has also been appointed to the position of distribution manager.

In Australia, Blue Coat distributors include Express Data, Distribution Central and M.Tech.

“Everything goes through our distributors,” Mitroo said. “We’ve got a great opportunity to leverage their position in the market place and how they can assist us with channel development such as education, communication and motivation to our channel partners. It’s something that BlueCoat hasn’t executed well in the past, and this gives us a great opportunity to do that.”

Blue Coat has three levels of partners in its Channel Advantage program including Global System Integrators, Elite and Premier. Outside of this it also has authorised partners.

Prior to joining Blue Coat, Mitroo was with SAP for two years as its general manager for SAP Business Objects. He was also the sales director of Business Objects for three years, before it was acquired by SAP.
