Veeam channel manager set to enable resellers

Ex-Ingram staffer looks to make resellers "self-sufficient"

Virtualisation management vendor, Veeam’s new channel manager has set her sights on making resellers “self-sufficient”.

Prior to her appointment, Rose-Maree Old was a virtualisation vendor manager for Ingram Micro and part of the team which set the distribution deal between [[xref:http://www.arnnet.com.au/distributor_directory/vendor/405177318/veeam and Ingram Micro in motion|Ingram Micro partners with Veeam]].

Old was previously an Express Data assistant product manager for Microsoft.

“The reason I joined Veeam was it offers a fresh challenge,” she said. “I had been working at Ingram for just over two years and while I really enjoyed my time there, the next step in my career was to work with a vendor.”

What attracted Old to Veeam was that it was still a relatively fresh company in Australia.

Her primary objective is to enable reseller partners “to the highest quality” in order to make them “self-sufficient”. This will be done through enablement programs aided by Veeam’s local distribution partners Ingram Micro and Melbourne-based Techplus.

“We are such a small team in Australia and New Zealand,” Old said. “We are working hand in hand with our distribution partners to try to get our resellers to be self-sufficient.”

Veeam currently has more than 2100 partners in its Australian reseller program.
