HP delivers integrated solution for information management

77 per cent of companies lack holistic tactics in administering business-critical information, study shows

Technology and services giant, HP, has updated its information management solutions offerings.

The Instant-On Enterprises scheme rolls out just days after HP South Pacific (A/NZ) named its new general manager of software, Richard Outten.

“Many organisations in Australia are struggling to cope with the huge increase in electronic records and the legislative complexity arising from a global business environment,” Outten said.

In a statement, HP quoted a March survey by researcher Coleman Parkes that showed three main results:

    1. Information management is on the verge of collapse for enterprises 2. Information management has evolved, from being a key aspect in the IT realm, to now encompass various business schemes 3. Many ventures lack a resourceful, information-policy driven approach to information management.
The portfolio aids enterprises in providing a transparent, current view of information across the company that complies with legislations and classifies it with policy-driven approaches, Outten said.

HP is offering the following solutions: Information Management Services, Integrated Archive Platform (IAP), TRIM Enterprise Records Management, Database Archiving, Data Protector Software and Reporter and the Storage Essentials software.

All solutions are available locally.

The HP Information Management Services are available directly from HP, while all other solutions are offered through HP and channel partners including distributor, Avnet Technologies.
