Kogan expands Agora range

Online Australian retailer, Kogan, has launched a range of local products under the Agora tag.

It includes an Internet TV portal, tablet PC and two laptops.

Powered by Android, the Agora Internet TV portal is designed to allow users to access the Web on the largest screen in their home.

Founder and chief-executive of the company, Ruslan Kogan, said the device allowed for everybody to stream movies from content providers across the globe, browse the web, chat to their friends on social media, share and view content and play games on their TV.

The Kogan 7-inch tablet, also operating on an Android, contains a capacitive touchscreen and has most features of other tablets.

The Agora and Agora Pro 12-inch laptops are thin, light, stylish and functional – compatible with both Ubuntu and Windows OS.

The products follow on from customer feedback via Facebook, Twitter, and the Kogan blog.

In 2009, Kogan announced the delay of the Agora mobile release on the blog.

“This delay comes due to potential future interoperability issues,” he said.

Kogan is offering the products on its website at the following starting prices: Agora Internet TV portal at $149, Agora tablet PC at $139 and the Agora laptops from $299 (standard) and $319 (Pro).
