Frontline wins $2 million Museum contract

Frontline Systems has consolidated its position with the National Maritime Museum, winning a $2 million contract for new technology.

The contract involves the delivery of a new Cisco-based switched network infrastructure, WiFi installation, videoconferencing solution with Polycom, and a variety of Microsoft technologies.

It’s the complexity of solution that makes the project a significant one for Frontline, according to the company's general manager of professional services, Michael Chanter.

“There’s a number of vendor partners involved, so it’s significant not so much for the size, but the complexity and scope," he said. “Fundamentally the museum runs a lean IT network, so this is an opportunity for us o reengineer from the bottom up.”

It’s not the first time that the Museum has been a customer of Frontline, having previously engaged the integrator around Microsoft BPOS technology.

“They’ve proven themselves to be quite forward thinking, so we expect to be find other ways to work with them in the future," Chanter said.
