NetComm Wireless appoints ex-PieNetworks CEO as product management GM

Craig Turner brings 25 years telecommunications experience to NetComm, according to the vendor.

NetComm Wireless has appointed Craig Turner as its general manager of product management.

Turner was previously CEO of Internet kiosk vendor, PieNetworks. In his new position, he will be focusing on the wireless and machine-to-machine (M2M) market for NetComm.

“For all the growth that has already occurred within the wireless industry, it’s clear there’s still a lot more opportunities ahead for us to deliver customer benefits that will be enabled by the innovative application of wireless and M2M technologies” Turner said in a statement.

Prior to his work at PieNetworks, he held senior management positions at Telstra including executive director for fixed voice and broadband products.

Turner also has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering from the University of NSW as well as a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Technology.

According to NetComm, Turner has been in the telecommunications industry for 25 years.
