Security distributor, Hemisphere Technologies, has expanded its relationship with Trustwave.

The two initially struck a deal in February to tackle Trustwave’s Secure Email Gateway Cloud service and after a successful first three months, the relationship has now expanded to cover the full portfolio of the vendor’s products and services.

Hemisphere Technologies managing director, Andrew Mamonitis, said the expanded relationship reflects the company’s growing reputation in the channel.

“The base we’ve built during our partnership leaves us in good stead moving forward with the entire portfolio Trustwave offer,” he said.

“Adding Trustwave’s full security suite to Hemisphere’s portfolio means our resellers can now offer customers a wider range of security solutions, allowing our channel to target the industry verticals which Trustwave’s key solutions and services are inherently tailored towards.”

Mamonitis also touched on the government’s focus on cyber security, which will provide further opportunities for growth in the IT security channel.

“With the Government leading the charge in taking cyber security seriously, Australian businesses are likely to follow suit and start looking at ways to beef up their own security,” he said.

Trustwave has sales, technical, and delivery staff in Australia, with satellite offices in Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne. It also has sales and engineering facilities in Auckland, New Zealand.

According to the vendor’s recent 2016 Global security report, the retail sector was the most compromised industry last year, followed by hospitality, food, beverage and entertainment.
