Apple did indeed roll out new laptops this week with a futuristic Touch Bar and a host of upgrades. But some of the specs and higher prices prompted more than raised eyebrows.

Well, that was quite the production!

We're talking about our tech trio's response to Apple's newest MacBook Pro laptops -- not the laptops themselves.

In case you hadn't heard, Apple on Thursday introduced the first re-designed MacBook Pro in four years. Offered in 13-in. and 15-in. models, they're thinner, lighter, have new screens, a new keyboard, faster internal hardware, a touch-sensitive Touch Bar, Touch ID and four USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports.

After watching Apple's big revealComputerworld Executive News Editor Ken Mingis and Editor in Chief Scot Finnie pronounced it all good. The same could not be said for Apple expert Michael deAgonia.

Mingis has already ordered one -- natch -- but with shipping dates two to three weeks out, we'll have to wait for a full report on how the new hardware fares in day-to-day use. But deAgonia, credit card at the ready, quietly slipped it back into his wallet when he saw the prices and specs for the entry-level models.

Once on camera, he explained exactly why he's not sold. (Hint: It has to do with storage capacity, RAM and price.) You have to watch the video to believe it.
