Canberra cyber security partner inks ACIC cloud platform deal

Cyber security partner and solutions developer ArchTis has signed an agreement with the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) to use its cloud-based platform Kojensi Gov on a 15-month period.

Based in Canberra, ArchTis names Oracle, Cirrus, Vault Cloud, Axiomatics and TEAM Asparona among its vendor partners. The secure data exchange solutions provider was established in 2006 and began trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) last year after raising $8 million during an initial public offering (IPO).

The company's Kojensi product is a multi-level security cloud platform that enables government to securely share and collaborate with other agencies and industry on highly classified information for protected or top secret levels, depending on the version of the platform adopted by the end user.

The new deal will see Kojensi used by the program team developing the National Criminal Intelligence System (NCIS) and offers government grade security and compliance, inter-agency collaboration,  online program editing and distributed administration rights.

The agreement was finalised through the Digital Transformation Agency’s (DTA) Cloud Marketplace for 150 users and up to 200 hours of extra services. The developer expects user numbers to grow.

We look forward to working with ACIC, and its partners, and continuing to expand the Kojensi Gov service through government and industry, in Australia and abroad,” Lai said.

ACIC validated Kojensi Gov due to the need for collaboration across geographically dispersed agencies and law enforcement personnel as well as the strict security protocols required as part of the NCIS program.

This agreement follows the previous announcement of ArchTis' deal with the Attorney General’s department to use Kojensi Gov in September.

That deal followed on from the announcement of a successful Beta program and formal launch of the Kojensi Gov platform in April.
