Arrow Electronics has updated its multi-tier cloud platform ArrowSphere with added functionality for channel customers to create tailored multi-vendor solutions.

Arrow claims the "significant enhancements" improve the design, functionalities and user experience of the platform.

The enhancements, according to Arrow, include a catalogue of over 25,000 offers from around the world and an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled search bar to manage subscriptions.

The new features also include a visualisation display of the most popular offers purchased by channel customers sorted by region; intelligent catalogue filtering by supplier; category, add-on, trial and customer categories; and a recommendation engine to allow channel customers to view complementary offers for building cloud solutions.

Sean Kerins, global president of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business added that ArrowSphere was developed nearly a decade ago to help those in the channel.

“We developed ArrowSphere more than eight years ago with the vision of creating an innovative platform for cloud, where channel customers can easily access our suppliers’ cloud products all in one place and build solutions for their end customers,” Kerins said.

The update to ArrowSphere follows Arrow's previous announcement of partnering with the Australian arm of UK education provider CourseMonster to deliver education related to IBM technology for Australia as well as Singapore, Middle East and Africa back in August.
