The Distribution Central history goes back to when it was founded in 1992 as Firewall Systems, an IT security services provider. The company was acquired by Scott Frew and Nick Verykios in 2004, with Frew founding LAN Systems - now Westcon-Comstor - and both founding 1World Systems and Micro Networks. This slideshow pays tribute to DC over the years, its co-founders, and the people that have graced both it and Frew and Verykios' associated companies. Distribution Central partners and resellers have come together for a partner event to discuss <i>Tomorrow's Cloud and infrastructure customer</i> in Sydney.
Distribution Central managing director, Nick Verykios, revealed the company's view on the infrastructure and Cloud market, while Telsyte analyst, Rodney Gedda, presented the results of a recent market study.
It also included a techology panel with representatives from CommVault, Fujitsu, NetApp, Seagate (EVault), SanDisk (Fusion-io) and SimpliVity.
